Our
Story.
How It All Started
We're three siblings who had a passion for making games at home when we couldn't afford to buy all the latest and greatest. During COVID we decided to put our heads together and mash up a few ideas we had from childhood and make something that the world could enjoy.
It started with a different theme and gameplay entirely and after iteration after iteration became the Small Fishes game that you see here today.
Can you believe that the original game was called "Dynasty" and was based on ancient Chinese social structures? It's almost unrecognizable from the first state of the game, but we're thrilled how all our game time decisions have transformed into something that we're proud of — and hope you'll enjoy as well!
The Team
Kong
NavigatorLifelong gamer and tech enthusiast, Kong mapped out core mechanics and kept the project (mostly) sailing on course. He's the brains behind the battle plans.
Iris
Product CaptainBargaining with the landlubbers is hard work. Luckily, we have Iris as the manufacturer liaison and designer on deck. She makes sure the deal gets done!
Michael
Bartering BuccaneerMichael's walked the plank with every version of Small Fishes, testing the tides 'til it was shipshape. When he's not braving the depths, he's dazzling landlubbers with shiny marketing treasures from video gems to golden doubloons!
Joyce
Ship's IllustratorFrom the smallest sardine to the largest whale, Joyce sketched the world of Small Fishes into existence. Her artwork gave the game its charm and character, filling every card and corner of the box with color, mischief, and a splash of sea magic.
