Tide Run is a one-touch pirate endless runner for iPhone. Hold to jump.
How to Play
- Hold to jump. Hold anywhere on the screen and your boat jumps. That's the only control.
- Jump the rocks. Hitting one ends the run.
- Don't jump the beacons. They're the rocks with a blinking light. Jumping one ends the run. Hold still and sail straight through it instead.
FAQ
Where is my progress saved?
On your iPhone, and only there. Tide Run has no accounts and no servers of ours. If you delete the app, your progress is deleted with it.
How do the leaderboard and achievements work?
Through Game Center, under your Game Center nickname. There's one leaderboard and 33 achievements. Apple handles that data; see our privacy policy.
What are crates, and can I buy them?
Crates wash up on the water. Pick one up like a coin and open it back at the locker. Most hold a few doubloons. Some hold a new wake colour or a new beacon smash for your boat. You can't buy crates or what's in them.
Does Tide Run have ads, analytics or tracking?
Yes, there are ads. A short full-screen ad shows between runs, never during one, never right after a personal best, and not at all for your first few runs. You can remove them for good with a one-time purchase: the Remove Ads button sits under Ranks on the main screen, and also in the locker's Boats tab. There is also an optional ad on the wreck screen that doubles that run's beacon coins; that one is your choice and stays available after the purchase. Progress is still stored on your device only, and there is no account.
I paid to remove ads but they came back
Open the locker, Boats tab, and tap Restore purchases under the Remove Ads button. Purchases are tied to your Apple account, so this also works on a new phone.
How do the Ranks work?
Tap Ranks on the main screen. It opens on the global leaderboard, with the top three on the podium, your own rank, and the sailor just ahead of you. Friends is the other tab. Scores come from Game Center, so you need to be signed in under Settings > Game Center to appear.
